Trilobe has just raised the bar with the Trente-Deux, a new collection that introduces its first fully manufactured movement and debuts an integrated steel bracelet. For a brand known for poetic displays, this release blends aesthetic originality with technical autonomy in a sporty-elegant package.
From indie creator to full autonomy
Trilobe is still young in the landscape of independent watchmaking, but the Trente-Deux signals maturity. Named after its Paris address, the watch comes from the new Trilobe Manufacture in Paris, where the X-Nihilo calibre was conceived, designed, machined, decorated, and assembled. Previously the brand had relied on external movements or modules, but this release cements its move into real manufacture status, elevating its credibility and identity among established independents.
Technical highlights that matter
The Trente-Deux is housed in a 39.5 mm stainless steel case, 10.15 mm thick with a lug-to-lug of about 46.18 mm, finished with satin brushing, polished and mirror-polished accents, and features a fluted bezel. It offers 50 meters water resistance. Dial options come in Sunray Blue or Sunray Grey, with grained discs for hours and minutes, a Clous de Paris guilloché seconds wheel, matte sunray centers, and rotating rings with fixed indicators rather than traditional hands. The movement runs at 28,800 vph, has 34 jewels, uses 218 components, and delivers a 42-hour power reserve. The bracelet is integrated steel with alternating finishes and a double-folding clasp designed for comfort and visual harmony.
Who this watch is for and how it wears
If you like integrated sports watches but also want something that stands apart from the usual suspects, the Trente-Deux is right up your alley. It retains Trilobe’s signature off-centre rotating disc display, giving it personality without compromising legibility. On wrist it feels dressy yet versatile, combining comfort via its tapering bracelet with a presence that works in both formal and casual contexts. The finishing is high, the design thoughtful, and the whole construction feels like more than the sum of its parts — it’s designed for those who want creativity, manufacture pride, and design flair in one.
Price, availability and my take
The Trente-Deux is priced at €16,500 (excl. VAT), which translates roughly to USD $18,000-$19,000 depending on import costs. It’s part of Trilobe’s permanent collection and is available now in both dial variants through Trilobe boutiques and authorized dealers. In my view, this is one of the more impressive entries into the luxury sports-watch category recently — it doesn’t shock or overly complicate, but it asserts that Trilobe has reached a new level of seriousness and refinement. If you appreciate subtle innovation and independently made craftsmanship, this one merits your attention.
I’m always glad to see a brand growing from strong foundations — this release feels like a step not just forward, but upward. And if you are looking for a more affordable integrated-bracelet watch, you really need to check out the Farer Integra !
